Site Is Prompted Limited Bandwidth in the Network Segment When Trying to Call Other Sites into an Ongoing Conference

Publication Date:  2019-04-10 Views:  99 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

During the delivery of a project, a site in an ongoing SMC-initiated multi-site conference fails to call other municipal sites into the conference. There is always the prompt saying that the bandwidth is limited in the network segment.

Alarm Information

The bandwidth is limited in the network segment.

Handling Process

Check the license of the SC. It is found that no traversal traffic is configured.

Discussions confirm that all SCs, MCUs, and sites are in the internal network, which does not involve the traversal between private and public networks and therefore does not require traversal traffic.

The SC configuration in Regional Management > Routing constraints shows that enable Media routing is not selected.

Then why are media routes forcibly used during a conference?
In the SC details page, the node registration information of the corresponding site shows that the node address of the site is different from the registered address.

The difference is caused by either the configuration of public and private networks or incorrect network configuration.

The customer confirms that the scenario of public and privates networks is not involved. Therefore, it is suspected that the network configuration is incorrect, specifically, the NAT is configured.

Root Cause

The network configuration on the customer side is incorrect.

Modify the network configuration on the customer side, that is, cancel the NAT configuration.
