VPC600/VPC620 images flicker or have horizontal stripes in the fluorescent light. Images become normal after the light is turned off.
1. If the camera has a control cable connected to the terminal or directly connects to the terminal through an HDVI finished cable, and the terminal can control the PTZ device of the camera, you can set the resolution of the camera to 1080p/50Hz on the web page of the terminal.
The setting path is device control > camera parameter adjustment > camera input port (select the corresponding input port) > video format, as shown in the following figure.
Operations on the menu screen: advanced > setting (administrator default password is 12345678) > video > image parameter adjustment > Select the corresponding input port > video fromat.
2. If the camera is controlled separately, the camera resolution's refresh rate configured on the terminal does not take effect for the camera. In this case, you need to press the SELECT and MODE buttons on the camera to change the setting.
The procedure is as follows:
a. Press SELECT to check the display on the camera. If the current mode is not VIDEO, keep pressing SELECT until VIDEO+ Resolution model is displayed.
b. Press the MODE button to switch to the 1080p/50Hz mode. Press the SELECT button to confirm the selection. If images no longer flicker, it means that the setting takes effect.
After the preceding operations are performed, the camera images do not flicker in the light.
The flickering frequency of fluorescent lamps is an integer multiple of the power supply frequency such as 50 and 100 Hz. If the camera is configured to work in 1080p/60Hz or 720p/60Hz, the frequency obtained by the shutter is not synchronous with the frequency of a fluorescent lamp, therefore causing the image flickering problem.
If the power supply frequency is 50 Hz, you are advised to set the camera refresh rate to 50 Hz. Likewise, if the power supply frequency is 60 Hz, set this parameter to 60 Hz.
