Issue Description

When an SNS5192 FC switch is upgraded by using CLI commands, an error is reported, stating, "Failed to access ftp: xxxxx/release.plist file."

Handling Process

1. Check whether the network communication is normal. Check whether the IP address of the switch and that of the FTP server are in the same network segment.

2. Find a server in the LAN and access the FTP server through FTP. Files can be uploaded and downloaded normally.

3. Check files on the FTP server. It is found that the user stores the upgrade package into the desired directory directly, without decompression. Decompress the package and perform the upgrade again. The switch is upgraded successfully.

Root Cause

The upgrade package is not decompressed.

Decompress the installation package and copy the obtained files to the FTP server and then upgrade the switch on the CLI. The directory structure of the installation files is as follows:

Strictly follow the instructions in the upgrade guide which provides the requirement of decompressing the installation package.
