Some Services Are Interrupted After an Active/Standby Switchover Because Data on the Active and Standby Boards Is Not Synchronized Due to Disabled Data Backup Function of the FA16

Issue Description

The V5 interface is enabled between two FA16 devices at sites A and B. The Z interface extension service is enabled through a semi-permanent connection (SPC). Two devices are configured with the PV8 control board. After an active/standby switchover occurs on the PV8 board at site A, some services from site A to site B are interrupted.

Handling Process

1. Check whether the timeslot of the interrupted service is normally occupied. Query the board and find that the timeslot of the interrupted channel is not occupied.

2. Check the NMS configuration data. The data is correct and complete.

3. Check the data of the frontend host. It is found that the interrupt channels are not related to the frontend host. The customer reports that the interrupt channels are newly added.

4. Check the backup function status. If the backup function is disabled, set the SPC table to the host, and then query the board. The timeslots of the interrupted channels are occupied and services are restored.

Root Cause

The data backup function of the FA16 is disabled. As a result, some services are interrupted after an active/standby switchover because data on the active and standby boards is not synchronized.


Set the missing data to the host again. The services will be restored.


You are advised to reload the programs and data of the active and standby boards to ensure that the data on the active and standby boards is the same and that the backup function is enabled.
