Traffic Is Unbalanced on Eth-Trunk Links When Two S12700 Set Up a CSS System

Issue Description

Two S12712 switches that set up a CSS system function as core switches. They are connected to multiple S5700 switches that function as access switches. The core and access switches are connected through two pairs of optical fibers in Eth-Trunk link aggregation mode. During data download, the traffic is transmitted only on the link of one Eth-Trunk member interface, and no traffic is transmitted on the other link.

Root Cause

When two S12712 switches set up a CSS system, the data server is connected to only one of the switches. The S12712 preferentially forwards local traffic by default. As a result, traffic is preferentially forwarded by the S12712 connected to the data server. The other S12712 in the CSS does not forward traffic.

After the preceding configuration is complete, run the dis interface b command. The output shows that traffic is balanced on the two links.
