Problem description: A public IP address and a DNS domain name are configured for the SMC on site. When a software client tries to register with this domain name, a message is displayed indicating that the account and password are incorrect.
1. During onsite tests, the software client can successfully register with the public IP address using the same account and password. This confirms that the SC account and password are correct.
2. Use the computer where the TE desktop resides to ping the domain name of the SC. The ping operation is successful, indicating that the network is normal.
3. Use the "Number@SIP server's domain name" format for sip URI input. The registration still fails.
4. According to documentation instructions, set the identifier format to "Account@Domain name", for example email@example.com, during number allocation on the SMC. (The number 0755789 was directly used during earlier number allocation.) Then, the software client can be properly logged in to, and registration can succeed on both computers and mobile phones.
For domain name registration, the identifier format must be set to "Number@Domain name" during number allocation.
Set the identifier format to "Account@Domain name", for example firstname.lastname@example.org, during number allocation on the SMC. In this way, the software client can be properly logged in.
