Network Topology Is Incorrectly Displayed on eSight V300R007

Publication Date:  2019-04-12 Views:  124 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

After devices are added to eSight, the device icons are correctly displayed in the network topology. However, links between devices cannot be displayed in the topology.

Handling Process

Check the SNMP information. The read community in the SNMP information is correct. To manage Huawei switches, eSight needs to discover and manage the MIB view of devices through SNMP. The MIB view name must be mib-view so that links can be displayed in the network topology.

Configure the read community for the SNMP protocol on related devices and ensure that the read community can access the MIB view mib-view of the devices.

Run the following commands to configure the read community in the SNMP view:

snmp-agent mib-view included bgw iso

snmp-agent community read cipher Jlw_jkzxr mib-view bgw

Save the configuration and synchronize devices on eSight. The network topology is displayed correctly.
