Telecom Power Supply Device ETP48150 Cannot Be Pinged

Publication Date:  2019-04-15 Views:  94 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

The COM port of the telecom power supply device ETP48150 cannot be pinged.

Handling Process

1. Check whether the communications board is SMU01A, the network is normal, and the cable connection is correct. Check whether the computer and the default IP address are in the same network segment.

2. The user fails to ping the IP address within 30 seconds after power-on.

Root Cause

The COM port of the SMU01A supports FE communication and RS485/RS232 communication. However, the FE communication is auto-negotiation. Therefore, the IP ping procedure needs to be completed within 30 seconds after power-on. Otherwise, the RS458 port is used by default.

Power off and restart the device, and ping the default IP address within 30 seconds.
