FAQ: What Should I Do If the AR2240 Fails to Be Accessed Through Web?

Publication Date:  2019-04-15 Views:  138 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

A customer fails to log in to the AR2240 through the web page. The PC can ping the management address but the browser displays a message indicating that the access fails.

Handling Process

Check the device management interface, which is G0/0/2, as shown in the following figure.

Check the interface IP address and the IP address of the PC, which are in the same network segment. In addition, the ping is successful.

However, the AR2240 still fails to be accessed on the web page after other browsers are used, browser parameters are changed, and other PCs are used. The other devices on the live network can be accessed properly.

The following configuration is found. After the configuration is deleted, the web page can be accessed properly.

Root Cause

The http server permit interface command configures physical interfaces through which users can access the web platform.

Solution

Run the undo http server permit interface command to delete the configured interfaces so that all physical interfaces on the device can access the web platform.

Suggestions

By default, all physical interfaces on the device can access the web platform. If the web page cannot be accessed on the AR but the management address can be pinged, you also need to check for related configurations on the device.
