Issue Description

Device model: NE20E-S8
Software version: V8R5C01SPC200
Symptom: After the local interface is manually shut down, the physical status of the peer device is still up.

Handling Process

1. Shut down the serial interface of the local device.

2. Check information about the local interface.

3. Check that the physical status of the peer interface is up.

4. If the peer interface needs to be physically down, run the following command on the E1 interface:
       transmission-alarm down los lof pais
      After the configuration is performed, the peer interface is physically down.

Solution

run the following command on the E1 interface:
       transmission-alarm down los lof pais
