USB devices such as the mouse and keyboard cannot be identified on KunLun 9008 servers.
The following figure shows the structure of a KunLun 9008 server:
It is pinpointed that the USB device was inserted to the central management enclosure (CMC).
USB devices inserted to the CMC will not be identified by the OS.
To identify USB devices, you must insert the devices into the USB ports on the left of the system compute enclosure (SCE).
Only USB devices inserted to the SCE can be identified by the OS.
USB ports on the CMC: allow a USB device (for example, a USB mouse or keyboard) to connect to the single system or a physical partition.
The USB ports are available in physical partition mode.
USB ports on the SCE: allow a USB device (for example, a DVD drive, USB flash drive, mouse, or keyboard) to connect to the single system or a physical partition.
In physical partition mode:
Only the USB ports on the primary SCE of each physical partition are available.
If the primary SCE is divided into two 4-socket physical partitions, the physical partition where BPU A is located uses this port by default. You can access the BMC CLI by using the SOL function of the CMC and use the CLI to switch the USB port to the physical partition where BPU B is located.
