The VCN500-R OMU Portal Cannot Be Accessed

Issue Description

The VCN500 OMU portal cannot be accessed.

Handling Process

1. Check the hardware status indicator. The indicator shows that the VCN500 enters the minisystem mode.

2. Use PuTTY or SecureCRT SSH2 to log in to the VCN500. The user name is admin and the password is Change_me. Run su - root and enter the password Change_Me to switch to user root.
Run cli vdinfolist to check the status of the hard disk and RAID. The command output shows that two disks are in the reserved state, the RAID group is unavailable, and the hard disks in slots 0 and 2 are faulty.

Root Cause

Two hard disks are faulty. As a result, the RAID group is unavailable and the system cannot be accessed.

Solution

Replace the two hard disks and reinstall the system.
The specific operations are as follows:
1. Log in to the VCN500. The user name is admin and the password is Change_me. Run su - root and enter the password Change_Me to switch to user root.
2. Run cd /share.
3. Run ./installminisystem.sh local IP address local gateway IP address.

Suggestions

Add a hot spare disk to prevent service interruption caused by disk faults.
