After the VCN3020 Is Bound to the Service Network Adapter, the Bound Service IP Address Cannot Be Pinged

Publication Date:  2019-04-20 Views:  47 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
After the VCN3020 is bound to the service network adapter, the bound service IP address cannot be pinged.
Handling Process
1. Log in to the iBMC, use the virtual KVM to log in to the system, and view the network adapter information.

2. If the service IP address of bond0 is displayed and the service IP address of the physical network adapter still exists, manually delete the service IP address of the physical network adapter.

3. Restart the network adapter.

Root Cause
When the VCN3020 is bound to a network adapter, the IP address of the physical network adaptor may not be deleted for some versions. As a result, the IP address of the bond0 service conflicts with that of the bond0 service. As a result, the internal network cannot access the service IP address.

Solution
Manually delete the service IP address of the physical network adaptor that conflicts with the service IP address of bond0.
Suggestions
After the VCN3020 is bound to the service network adaptor, log in to the KVM to check whether the service IP address conflict exists. If yes, manually delete the service IP address of the physical network adaptor.
