Live Video of the VCN500 Is Normal, While Artifacts Occur During Video Playback

Publication Date:  2019-04-20 Views:  32 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

The VCN500 is connected to an IPC6325-WD-VR. The live video is displayed properly, but artifacts occur during video playback at the same point in time.

Handling Process
1. Check whether the network between the client and the server is normal. Download the video and find that the fault persists.
2. Change the transmission protocol on the client to UDP, and capture packets during live video playing and video playback.
3. Compare the packets captured in live videos and playback videos. It is found that the SEI package is missing during video playback. The SEI is generated by the super error correction function of the camera.
4. Disable the super error correction function of the camera and perform the test again. The fault is rectified.

Root Cause
This problem occurs because the super error correction function is not fully tested in the current version.
