The NFS client cannot be mounted and the following error message is displayed:
mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting 126.96.36.199:/vx/fs_str
1. Ensure that the IP address can be pinged and NFS ports are not restricted. Replace the host. The problem persists.
2. Collect logs and check the /var/log/messages log. The following error information is displayed:
[warning] mountd: refused mount request from 188.8.131.52 for /vx/fs_str (/vx/fs_str): illegal port 2334
3. Log in to N8500 ISM or CLI and check the NFS share parameters. The attribute of the share is set to secure. Set the share to insecure and mount the share again. The problem is solved.
After the NFS share is set to secure, only the clients whose ports are smaller than 1024 are allowed to connect to the NFS share. Otherwise, the connection will be rejected. The client uses port 2334. Therefore, N8500 rejects the connection. As a result, the share fails to be mounted to the client.
Set the share to insecure insecure.
