Issue Description

In one project the outdoor fan is placed higher that the indoor unit and the vertical distance between them is 14m .

When the comp. shutdown , the oil filma may flow downwards along the long vertical exhaust pipe and accumulate at the bottom which affects the normal ciculation of refrigerant oil .

In consequense , the compressor will work at the relatively low oil level , which wears the compressor.

Handling Process

Installed an oil trap every 5m along the exhaust pipe invertical direction to ensure system reliability

Root Cause

The vertical distance is 14m between the Netcol and the outdoor unti which will cause a problem

Oil traps added every 5m along the exhaust pipr in vertical direction

Install oil trap is a must to be installed every 5m , if the vertical distance between the out door is higher than the Netcol for more than 5 Meter
