FAQ-How to Configure Congestion Management If an NE40E Sub-interface Is Not Configured with the port-queue Command?

Publication Date:  2019-04-22 Views:  39 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

How to configure congestion management if an NE40E sub-interface is not configured with the port-queue command?

Solution

The congestion management configuration on a physical interface is as follows:

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/0

undo shutdown

port shaping 60   //This configuration cannot be performed on a sub-interface. The unit is Mb.

port-queue af3 wfq weight 15 outbound  //This configuration cannot be performed on a sub-interface.

port-queue af4 wfq weight 30 outbound  //This configuration cannot be performed on a sub-interface.

port-queue ef pq shaping 8 outbound     //This configuration cannot be performed on a sub-interface.

The congestion management configuration of the corresponding sub-interface is as follows:

flow-queue test

queue af3 wfq weight 15

queue af4 wfq weight 30

queue ef pq shaping 8000

qos-profile test

user-queue cir 60000 flow-queue test  //The unit is Kb.

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/0.1

qos-profile test outbound

The QoS profile of the HQoS function is used to address the problem that sub-interfaces do not have the port-queue command configuration.
