Time Between the IPC and VCN3000 Cannot Be Synchronized

Publication Date:  2019-04-23 Views:  77 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

The time between the IPC and the VCN3000 cannot be synchronized. The NTP time calibration service is enabled on the VCN3000. The time difference between the camera and the server is about 18 minutes.

Solution

1. Check whether port 123 is configured in the list of ports through which UDP packets can pass.

   1.1 Run vi /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 to open the firewall configuration file of the operating system.

   1.2 Locate FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP. Check whether port 123 is configured in the list of ports through which UDP packets can pass. It is found that the port 123 of the system is enabled.

Note: To find a desired field, enter /field name, for example, /FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP, and press Enter.

  In the information displayed, the value 123 exists in the values of FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP, indicating that port 123 exists in the valid UDOP port list.

  FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP="13 22 111 123 162 427 1026 1028 1858 3702 5080 5061 6600 70007199 8600:8799 9000 0161 2711130189 30190:33006 3711239416 4000041999 4200042999 4300043999 4600048999 54061"

2 Ask the network administrator to enable the UDP 123 NTP synchronization port on the hardware firewall.
