How Do I Use Wireshark to Capture Packets When Artifacts Occur During Live Video Viewing?

Publication Date:  2019-04-23 Views:  14 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

Artifacts occur during live video viewing by using Hikvision's IPC on the VCN3000 platform.

Handling Process

1.  Log in to the VCN3000 server in SSH mode to capture packets using Wireshark from the MPU server where the camera is located, and capture media streams sent from the camera to the VCN3000.

2.  After packet capture, start Wireshark. Covert the captured packets to RTP.

        a) Choose Analyze > Decode As.

         b) Click RTP.

3.  The procedure for exporting the PS code stream is as follows:

         a)     Choose Telephony > RTP > Stream Analysis.

         b)     Click Save Payload to export the PS code stream.

4.  The eseye_u.exe program can be used to play videos. The video is the video stream converted from the packet capture code stream. Artifacts or black screen occurs at the beginning. In this case, all images are displayed only after the first red data frame (key frame) is displayed.
