Artifact Occurs When Redhat6.6 Is Installed in UEFI Mode on the RH5885 V3

Issue Description

Hardware configuration: RH5885 V3

Artifact occurs during the Redhat6.6 installation. The following is an example screenshot.

Handling Process

Solution 1: Adjusting the redhat6.6 installation mode

    After the redhat6.6 installation interface is displayed, press ↑↓ to enter the BIOS configuration screen.

Select Install system with basic video driver for installation, as shown in the following figure.

In this mode, the Redhat automatically adjusts the resolution during installation.

Solution 2: Adjusting the BIOS resolution

    Use a new BIOS version. No new version is available temporarily. After a new version is released, the BIOS version information will be updated in this case.

Root Cause

The default resolution of the redhat6.6 is 1024*768.

Currently, the resolution of RH5885 V3 is 800*600 in UEFI mode.

Artifact  occurs during system installation because the resolutions do not match.
