I340-T4 (P/N: An NIC (06310025) cannot be identified when it is inserted into the RH1288 V2. However, it can be identified on the RH2288.
1. Check the log. The log shows that the NIC cannot be identified. In addition, no other hardware error information is recorded in the log. 2. Apply for a spare backplane or CPU for replacement as the problem is possibly caused by a backplane or CPU fault. During parts replacement on site, it is found that only one CPU is installed on the server.
The NIC of this model must be installed in the PCIE2 slot and maps to CPU 2. Only CPU1 is installed on the server. As a result, the NIC cannot be identified after being inserted.
Install the NIC in the PCIE2 slot so that it maps to CPU 2. If CPU2 is not configured, the NIC cannot be identified. In such a case, request the customer to purchase a CPU of the same model as CPU1 and install it on the server.
