Black Screen Occurs During Live Video Viewing When the VCN3020 Platform Is Connected to Hikvision's Camera by Using GB/T 28181?

Publication Date:  2019-04-24 Views:  124 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

Black screen occurs during live video viewing when the encoding format of Hikvision's camera is H.264, the resolution is 1080p, and the Hikvision's camera is connected to Huawei's VCN3020 platform by using GB/T 28181+ protocol.

Handling Process

Capture the stream packets sent from Hikvision's camera on the VCN3020 platform. Check whether a non-standard PS code stream is sent.

In standard PS code streams, each frame of data starts with 000001ba, as shown in the following figure:

For PS code streams sent from Hikvision's camera, the frame of data does not start with 000001ba, as shown in the following figure:

Root Cause

Black screen occurs because Hikvision's camera sent non-standard PS code streams. The VCN3020 platform can identify only standard PS code streams.

Solution

Replace cameras of other models to properly display images during live video viewing.

Suggestions

If black screen occurs during live video viewing when the encoding format of Hikvision's camera is H.264, the resolution is lower than or equal to 1080p, and the Hikvision's camera is connected to Huawei's VCN3020 platform by using GB/T 28181+ protocol, capture the stream packets sent from Hikvision's camera on the VCN3020 platform to check whether non-standard PS code streams are sent.
