The Configuration File Is Lost When UltraPath Is Installed on a Windows Host

Publication Date:  2019-04-24 Views:  275 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

An error is reported when UltraPath is installed on the Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016 operating systems. A message is displayed, indicating that the config folder is missing.

Handling Process

  1. Replace the UltraPath with UltraPath of another version. The same error message is displayed.

  2. Check the environment variables in the operating system. The environment variables are correctly configured.

  3. In the c:\program files\ultrapath\log folder on the server, obtain the ISSetup.log file for analysis. Some configuration folders are not found.

Check the directory where the UltraPath-21.02.048.exe is located. The config folder is not found. Confirm with the customer. The customer only decompresses the .exe file. Other folders are not decompressed. Decompress other folders and install UltraPath. The installation is successful.

Root Cause

When the UltraPath-21.02.048.exe is installed, the configuration files in the config folder in the same directory are read. If the folder is not found, an error is reported and the installation is terminated.

Decompress the entire package and then you can install the UltraPath software.
