X6000 SNMP Failed to Obtain Power Supply Information

Publication Date:  2019-04-24 Views:  200 Downloads:  0

Alarm Information

Handling Process

According to the BMC log, the power information of PS1 and PS2 cannot be obtained.
Check the BMC logs of the nodes that have the alarm generated. It is found that the BMC was upgraded from version 240 to version 300.

Current version

The XH321V3 (node) power information comes from the MM630 (management board). For the version earlier than 272, the server nodes query and obtain the power and fan information from the management board. For version 272 and later, the management board sends power information to the server nodes. Therefore, if the node version is 272 or later but the management board version is earlier than 272, the node cannot obtain the power supply information.
Therefore, it is suspected that only the BMC version of the node is upgraded and the MM630 version is not upgraded. Therefore, you are advised to upgrade the MM630 version to V300.

Root Cause

The management board version is not upgraded. Upgrade it to V300.
