Publication Date:  2019-04-24 Views:  11 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
After the camera IP address is forgotten, the camera cannot be connected to the network and no tool is available.
Alarm Information

Ø No available IPC tool

Ø The camera is directly connected to the PC installed with the Wireshark packet capture tool.

Handling Process

1.     Start the Wireshark. Select the network adapter that directly connects to the camera and click Start to start capturing packets.

2.     Restart the camera (power-off and power-on). Wait for about 2 minutes until the camera starts.

Search for a specified packet: Start the Wireshark. Press Ctrl+F to search for packets. Select String and Packet bytes, and enter onvif. Then, click Find.

3.     Check the camera IP address. If the corresponding packet is found, the search box disappears and the packet is automatically selected. In the following figure, the IP address of the camera is 3.4.30.203.

4. Configure the local IP address and gateway.

5. Ping the camera and check whether the network connection is normal. If yes, log in to the camera web page for further confirmation.

Suggestions

You must restart the camera (power-off and power-on). Otherwise, the camera IP address cannot be captured.
