OMU Cannot Be Logged in After the Device IP Address Is Modified in the Linux OS on the VCN3020 Platform

Publication Date:  2019-04-24 Views:  132 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

After the user logged in to the Linux OS as user root on the VCN3020 platform (the version is V100R003C00SPC200) and modified the device IP address, the IP address of the device can be pinged, whereas the OMU cannot be logged in.

Handling Process

1. After logging in the Linux OS on the VCN3020 platform as user root and modifying the device IP address, the user forgot the original IP address.

2. Run cat /home/ivs_mu/config/MU.conf to check the original OMU IP address in the configuration file.

3. InternalMediaIP indicates the original OMU IP address of the device. In this case, modify the device IP address to the original IP address and log in to the OMU to modify the device IP address.

Root Cause

The device IP address can be modified only on the OMU of the VCN3020 platform. Therefore, the device IP address cannot be modified in the Linux OS. Only the IP address of the underlying system of the device can be modified. The IP address in the OMU configuration file cannot be modified.
