BGP Peer Status Is no nego Between PEs on an MPLS Network Including NE5000Es

Publication Date:  2019-04-24 Views:  98 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

Device model: NE5000E
Software version: V800R006C00SPC600
Symptom: After the display bgp peer command is run, the BGP peer status is displayed as no nego.

The display bgp peer command displays the negotiation status of an IPv4 address family.

The no neg status indicates that the local device supports IPv4 during negotiation while the peer device does not support IPv4.

On an MPLS BGP network, a BGP VPNv4 peer relationship is set up between PEs.

To view the negotiation status of the VPNv4 address family, run the display bgp vpnv4 all peer command.
