Conference Initiation Fails, with an Error Indicating That the Maximum Number of Sites Under the Lower-Level MCU Exceeds 190

Publication Date:  2019-04-26 Views:  72 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

Provincial level: SMC2.0+VP9660   City level: VP9650

The SMC2.0 manages MCUs in a unified manner. MCUs have the full switching license with sufficient capacity. Initiating a 720p automatic cascading conference fails, with an error saying that the maximum number of sites on the lower-level MCU exceeds 190.

Handling Process

An automatic cascading conference can be successfully initiated if the number of sites under the MCU is smaller than 190. Otherwise, automatic cascading fails. The number of sites under the MCU can be greater than 190 if the conference is initiated without MCU cascading. The affiliation relationships of conference site resources are correct.

R&D reply:

In cascading mode, the number of subconference sites under an MCU cannot exceed 190. In non-cascading mode, the total number of subconference sites under an MCU can exceed 190.

Root Cause

In cascading mode, the number of subconference sites under an MCU cannot exceed 190. In non-cascading mode, the total number of subconference sites under an MCU can exceed 190.

Solution

Sites beyond the limit of 190 are directed to other MCUs.
