Within half an hour after being powered on, the TE50 shows a black screen no matter whether it is in a conference. The image cannot be recovered unless the TE50 is restarted. The problem affects the normal use of services.
When the image is normal on the TE50, use the remote control to enable video surveillance from the menu. Then when the problem occurs, log in to the TE50 web interface and check the image in device control. If the image is normal, it indicates that the camera input and the HDMI output are normal.
The projector uses a DVI input and therefore is connected to the TE50 through an HDMI cable and a DVI connector. No image is displayed after the HDMI port of the TE50 is connected to a laptop. This confirms that the fault is caused by the connection between the cable and the connector.
The connector has to be replaced for further tests, as no other DVI and HDMI output devices are available on site. After the replacement, the image returns to normal.
The connector is faulty.
If a black screen is displayed locally when a terminal is in a conference, first check whether there is any image input and whether the camera input is normal. Then check whether the input and output ports of the terminal are normal. Finally check whether the cable and the port of the output device are normal.
The fault needs to be demarcated section by section, and can be rectified after the fault point is identified.
