FAQ-When S5700 Supplies Power to the Hikvision Cameras, the Interface Alternates Between Up and Down

Issue Description

When the S5700S-28P-PWR-LI-AC supplies power to the Hikvision cameras, the interface alternates between Up and Down. The power supply of the camera is unstable and the camera restarts repeatedly. As a result, services are abnormal. However, the connection between the switch and other devices is normal.


Switch version and patch: V200R010C00SPC600+SPH015

When the S5700S-28P-PWR-LI-AC supplies power to the Hikvision cameras, the interface alternates between Up and Down. The power supply of the camera is unstable and the camera restarts repeatedly. As a result, services are abnormal. However, the connection between the switch and other devices is normal.

Solution

The Hikvision camera mechanism is defective. When no device continuously invokes camera videos, this issue occurs.

Verification method:

1. Use a web browser to log in to the IP address of the camera.

2. Mount a disk video recorder and add a camera.

After the preceding operations are performed, the camera interface does not alternate between Up and Down, the PoE power supply is normal, and the switch is normal.
