IP Calling Fails When a Conference Is Being Initiated Through the Built-in Web Interface of a VP96X0 MCU

Issue Description

A conference is being initiated on the MCU web interface. Terminals need to be added to the MCU conference through their IP addresses, as the terminals are not registered with the GK. When the MCU tries to call IP terminals into a conference, a calling failure message is displayed indicating that IP calling is not allowed.

Handling Process

1. Check whether the MCU connection mode is built-in web and whether the MCU is registered with the GK. If the MCU is registered with the GK, do not register again. (The embedded GK can be enabled, which does not adversely affect the system.)

2. Enter the SSH command system-view conf-policy enable-ip-call 1 (the default value is 0; 1 means enabled).

After you save the modification successfully, you do not need to restart the MCU.

Now that IP calling is enabled, a conference can be initiated successfully.

The following are example commands for your reference:

If a failure message indicating that the call is rejected by the MCU when a terminal tries to call the MCU through the IP address,

anonymous calling may be disabled on the MCU by default.

To enable anonymous calling, run the following command:

system-view conf-policy enable cryptonym call in 1

Root Cause

In versions later than V500R002C10SPC200, IP calling is disabled by default. You need to run the preceding command to enable it.
