How Do I Perform a Consultative Transfer on the eSpace U1900

Issue Description

A customer wants a call from external line user A to internal line user B to be transferred to user C, with the call placed on hold or a waiting tone played during the transfer. In a word, the call needs to be connected to user C without hanging up and redialing.

Solution

After external line user A connects to internal line user B, user B connects to user C and then transfer the call from user A to user C. Detailed operations are as follows:

1. Pre-configuration: On the User > SIP User or User > POTS User page, select user B's number and click service configuration. Then select Call forwarding.

2. Usage method: User A connects to user B. User B presses the hookflash (R key). User A is placed on hold and hears the waiting tone. User B dials user C's number. After the call to user C is connected, user B and user C can talk with each other. After user B hangs up the phone without any other operation, user A can then talk with user C.
