RTN 510 Air Interface Link Setup Failure

Publication Date:  2019-05-28  |   Views:  288  |   Downloads:  0  |   Document ID:  EKB1100016737

Issue Description

The air interface link of the RTN 510 cannot be set up.

Handling Process

1. Check whether the SSID and password of the interconnected AP and RT are the same and whether the encryption modes are the same. The SSID, encryption mode, and password of the AP and RT must be the same.

2. Check the ACL configuration of the AP and RT. Generally, check whether the control list is enabled on the AP and the whitelist function is enabled. If the whitelist function is enabled, check whether the MAC address of the peer RT is added to the ACL.

3. In the relay scenario, check whether the mode of the AP or RT serving as the relay site is set correctly.

4. If multiple APs are deployed on the same site, set different SSIDs for different APs to ensure that RT devices can access the network according to the network plan.

Root Cause

1: The MAC address–based access control list (whitelist) on the AP side is enabled, and the MAC address of the remote RT is not in the whitelist.

2: The SSID and password are incorrect.

3: The modes of AP or RT in the relay scenario are not switched.

4: The SSID is not changed in co-site scenarios (it is recommended that the SSIDs of co-site devices to be different).
