Issue Description

Configure the management IP address of the switch module and use Putty to log in to the switch module. The error "server's host key is invalid" is displayed.

Handling Process

1. According to the product documentation, configure the management IP address of the switch module. After the configuration, you can ping the management board from a PC.

2. Use putty to log in to the management IP, and the error message "server's host key is invalid" is displayed.

3. Check the version of the switch module. The command is display version and the version is Software Version V100R005C50, which is too early.

4. Confirm that putty has restrictions on the early version. The default setting is not supported. The configuration needs to be changed. Set the RSA option as the default selection for the host keys in the SSH option, and then you can log in.

Root Cause

The switch module version is too early and is not supported by putty by default. The configuration needs to be changed.

Solution

Set the RSA option as the default selection for the host keys in the SSH option.

Suggestions

Update the switch module to at least version 8.5 in time.
