How to Calculate the Number of Ports That Can Supply Power Simultaneously on a PoE Switch?
The number depends on the power supply mode, that is, PoE, PoE+, or PoE++. The maximum PoE power that can be provided by an S5720-52P-PWR-LI-AC is 370 W. Details of specific scenarios are as follows:
1. In PoE mode, each port can provide 15.4 W power at most, and therefore 24 ports can provide power concurrently.
2. In PoE+ mode, each port can provide 30 W power at most, and therefore 12 ports can provide power concurrently.
3. In PoE++ mode, each port can provide 60 W power at most, and therefore six ports can provide power concurrently.
