Publication Date:  2019-06-20  |   Views:  252  |   Downloads:  0  |   Document ID:  EKB1100018740

Issue Description

When the Linux operating system is installed on a FusionStorage storage node (RH2288H V3) and restarted, the boot disk cannot be found.

Handling Process

If the system disk is not started during the startup, you need to modify the RAID card startup item. The RAID controller card model is LSI 3008. On the Adapter Properties page, select SAS Topology, press Enter, and press ALT+B to set the selected device as the first boot device. Boot is displayed in Device Info, as shown in the following figure.

Root Cause

Due to a large number of FusionStorage disks, the RAID controller card is not configured with a boot disk. As a result, the system disk cannot be found during system startup.

After installing the FusionStorage storage node, you need to modify the RAID controller card boot option. The RAID card model is LSI 3008.

For other types of RAID controller cards, you also need to configure corresponding startup items.
