FAQ-Black Screen Occurs When Viewing Live Video from 14 Cameras Simultaneously on the C/S Client of the VCN500

Issue Description

A user views 1080p live video on the C/S client. Black screen occurs when a user view live video from 14 cameras simultaneously on the C/S client of the VCN500.


The resolution may exceed the maximum allowed by the system specifications. Use a lower resolution.

1.Check the performance specifications in the VCN500 product documentation. According to the specifications, when the H.264 encoding format is used, a maximum of eight 1080p live video channels are supported and a maximum of 16 720p live video channels are supported.

2.Change the live video resolution to 720p.

     a.Log in to the C/S client, choose Devices > Local Domain, and double-click a camera from which live video needs to be viewed. The Configuration page is displayed.

     b.Choose Video > Video Encoding and change the value of Resolution to 720P.
