Issue Description

A user fails to log in to the OMU portal after the VCN500 is powered off unexpectedly.

The database is not started.

Solution

1.Log in to the server as the admin user, switch to the root user, and run the su - postgres -c "/home/postgres/bin/pg_ctl status -D /DB_DATA/data/" command to check whether the database is normal. The information shown in Figure 1 indicates that the database is normal.

Figure1 Database

  • If the database is normal, go to step4.
  • If the database is abnormal, go to the next step.

2.Run the df -h command and check whether the /DB_DATA directory is full. If the space usage approaches 100%, delete some log files, for example, log files in the /DB_DATA/data/pg_log directory.

a.Run the rm -rf /DB_DATA/data/pg_log/*.log command to delete the log files.

     Note:

You are advised to back up the log files before deletion.

If the released space is insufficient for starting the database, move the first 10 XLOG files to another partition, and then restart the database.

b.Run the /home/ivstool/bin/service.sh restart pgdb command to restart the database.

c.Check the database status by performing.

  • If the database is normal, go to step4.
  • If the database is abnormal, go to the next step.

3.Delete the pg_dataxlogchk file to skip the XLOG verification.

  • Run the rm -rf /DB_DATA/data/global/pg_dataxlogchk command.
  • Run the vi /DB_DATA/data/postgresqL.conf command to set enable_minrecovery_check to off.
  • Run the /home/ivstool/bin/service.sh restart pgdb command to restart the database.
  • Check the database status by performing step1. If the fault persists, go to the next step.
