The ETHOVER describes the total number of received CRC errors packets larger than the MTU. This means there are more packets with CRC errors than the threshold on the client side. Could be a problem with the SFP, patch cord or with the client device.
This is a case in which the length of a received packet exceeds the MTU of the port.
Next step is to check the MTU size setting.
For this, please check the maximum packet length is set to 9600. If is not, please set it and check again if the event occurs again.
Since the event is still reported, this indicates that the lennght of the received packets excedds 9600 bytes.
It is recommended the packets be fragmented.
Collect the logs and check what kind of packets are big: oversize packets or undersize packets and then modify the Uper or Lower Thresold.
Need to be check why the packets are so large.
To know the actual packet size, a capture of the packets is needed, recommended to do it for the source packets.
