How to configure NTP on OSN 902 to use an external IP as NTP source

Issue Description

In order to configure NTP to use an external IP as source you should:

1.         Enable the NTP service :   ntp-service enable

2.         Configuring the IP Address of the Server:  ntp-service unicast-server 

Handling Process

 Please check the ntp-service status:

<ts1.>display ntp-service status

NTP Service Status

unsynchronized       0x00000000

Check also the NTP Version:

<ts1.>display ntp-service unicast-server NTP Unicast Server Information

Root Cause




Please change the NTP version to 3.

Input following command: ntp-service unicast-server ip X.X.X.X version 3


You can also run the navigator command to view NTP packets using:

-            :ntp-set-debuglevel:all,enable

After 5 minutes, query the following logs to check whether NTP packets exist:

-            :log-query:bid,"dcn.log"
