After a TE50 participant joins a conference, a DiDi beep sound is displayed

Issue Description

The headquarter of the customer has the SMC2.0+MCU9660, and the branches have the SMC1.0 and MCU8650. The two systems joins the conference in manual cascading mode. After the conference that contains the cascaded participant is successfully held each time, the main participant will hear the dial tone of "DiDi beep". While when a conference that does not contain cascaded participants is held each time, the main site cannot hear the dial tone of "DiDi beep".

Handling Process

Check the conference corresponding to SMC2.0. It is found that each time a cascaded participant joins the conference successfully, the main participant will hear the DiDi beep sound.

Root Cause


If the participant joins the conference successfully, the main participant will hear the DiDi beep sound.


Solution

1.      Log in to web page of the endpoint.

2.      Choose Device Control > Device Control.

3.      Click Audio Control.

4.      Set Alert tone volume under Audio Output to 0.

After the setting, the main participant cannot hear the "DiDi beep" sound of the cascaded participant in the conference.



Suggestions

If an abnormal conference announcement is played during a conference, you are advised to disable the prompt tone for the main site.

1.  Log in to web page of the endpoint.

2.  Choose Device Control > Device Control.

3.  Click Audio Control.

4.  Set Alert tone volume under Audio Output to 0.
