On an NE80E V300R003C02B697, the temperature of boards in slots 15 and 16 rises during operation. Although the air filter is cleaned multiple times, the temperature of the two boards still cannot drop to a normal level. The ambient temperature in the equipment room is normal. The NE80E has operated properly in recent months, and this problem has not occurred before. The logged alarm messages show that the boards’ temperature exceeded 60°C several times and sometimes even exceeded 70°C.
1. The air filter is clogged after having running for a long period of time, which causes inadequate ventilation inside the NE80E. 2. The board temperature monitoring component is faulty. Clean the air filter first. After that, the board temperature does not drop even when the air filter is not installed on the NE80E. Then, check the board temperature monitoring component, which, however, is found working properly. On the NE80E deployed on site, no filler panels are installed in slots 7 and 8. According to the ventilation principle, it is possible that this affects the ventilation conditions in slots 15 and 16. After communication with the customer, it is known that the boards in slots 7 and 8 were removed from the NE80E and used in another city two months before. After filler panels are installed in slots 7 and 8, the temperature of boards in 15 and 16 drop to a normal level.
