FAQ: How Are Protocol Packets Hashed on Trunk Member Interfaces of the NE40E?

Publication Date:  2013-09-03 Views:  52 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
How are protocol packets hashed on trunk member interfaces of the NE40E?
Handling Process
Root Cause
By default, the NE40E sends packets of BFD or routing protocols such as OSPF and IS-IS only on one trunk member interface. The interface is specified by the software algorithm and cannot be checked using commands. Therefore, the NE40E sends protocol packets on the interface where the physical status and corresponding protocol of the interface are Up.
