FAQ: Why Is an Alarm Indicating No GTL License on the NE40E of V6R3C05SPC300 Generated on the NMS While the NE40E Does Not Use the GTL License?

After an NE40E that does not use the GTL license is upgraded to V6R3C05SPC300, why is an alarm indicating no GTL license on the NE40E is generated on the NMS?  

Handling Process


Root Cause



The NE40E of V6R3C05SPC300 automatically detects whether the GTL license is activated and is enabled with SNMP trap for GTL license status by default. If the system finds that the GTL license is not activated on the NE40E, an SNMP trap message is sent to the NMS. An alarm is displayed on the U2000.

To disable this alarm from being displayed on the U2000, run the following command to disable SNMP trap for GTL license status on the NE40E:
undo snmp trap enable feature gtl
