Issue Description

A customer requires to limit traffic rates under interfaces to 100 Mbit/s in working hours and 50 Mbit/s in other hours.How to configure the rate limit policies for different time ranges on NE40E?

Handling Process

Root Cause

1. After specifying time ranges, associate rules in the ACL with corresponding time ranges.The traffic feature in a rule and the associated time range are in the AND relationship. That is, the traffic satisfying both the traffic feature in the rule and the time range matches the rule.

2. Configure policies as follows to meet customer's requirements:

//Define time ranges. The working hours are from 8:00 to 18:00 in working days.

time-range test1 8:00 to 18:00 working-day
time-range test2 18:01 to 23:59 working-day
time-range test3 0:00 to 7:59 working-day
time-range test4 0:00 to 23:59 off-day

//Define ACLs, one for working hours and one for other hours. Associate  rules in each ACL associate with the corresponding time range.

acl number 2000
rule 1 permit source any time-range test1
acl number 2001
rule 1 permit source any time-range test2
rule 2 permit source any time-range test3
rule 3 permit source any time-range test4

//Define traffic.

traffic classifier test1
if-match acl 2000
traffic classifier test2
if-match acl 2001

//Define actions.

traffic behavior test1
car cir 100M pir 100M
traffic behavior test2
car cir 50M pir 50M

//Define policies.

traffic policy test
classifier test1 behavior test1
classifier test2 behavior test2

//Applies policies to interfaces.

traffic-policy test inbound
traffic-policy test outbound
