Publication Date:  2012-07-18 Views:  292 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

Software version: V100R001SPC003
Operating system version of the client: Windows XP SP2
The customer's N8000 system provides the Homedir share and Normal share services. After accessing a Normal share and returning to the root directory, the customer fails to access a Homedir share. The page for entering the user name and password is not displayed, and a message indicating insufficient permission is displayed.

Alarm Information
Handling Process
Root Cause
This problem is caused by bugs in the Windows XP SP2. When the customer accesses a Normal share and then returns to the root directory, the system blocks the customer's access to a Homedir share according to recorded information.
As there are a large number of customers that require NAS share services, it is difficult to install the SP3 patch package for each customer. You are advised to upgrade the N8000 version.
