Recorded Video Can Be Queried but Cannot Be Played

Issue Description

The system can query recorded video, but fails to play recorded video.

Handling Process

To troubleshoot this fault, you need to restart the NVS process.
a. Run service iNVS stop to stop the NVS service.
b. Run service iNVS start to start the NVS service. The process takes about one minute.
c. Run the Isscsi command to view the present disks and check that the present disks are the same as the actual conditions. If a disk is inserted into the slot but not displayed after you run the Isscsi command, you need to insert the disk again. If the problem persists, the slot or the disk may be damaged.

Root Cause

• Disks that store the video data are damaged.
• Disks that store the video data are removed.


According to the process of troubleshooting this fault, you can know that if recorded video can be queried but cannot be played, it indicates that the data is recorded into the database, but the related indexes are damaged, the data is damaged, or the related disks are not in position.
