Alarm Information
Handling Process

Step 1     Log in to the VSM System Monitor.

Step 2     Click the Process Monitor tab and Set Process Name to necomm_agent.

Step 3     Right-click and choose Start the Process from the shortcut menu.

The Confirm dialog box is displayed, showing the processes that rely on and will be started along with the selected process. To start the process, click Yes.

Root Cause
If the Telnet tool provided by the VSM is used to log in to an NE, the VSM client communicates with the VSM server and informs the VSM server of Telnet operations. Then, the VSM server serves as an agent to return operation results to the VSM client. Therefore, login to the NE can succeed only if the Telnet tool provided by the VSM is used.
