Port-security error on S5700

Publication Date:  2013-07-30 Views:  543 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Once a host is connected to a different port than the original one it will not have connectivity in teh network.
Alarm Information
Handling Process
In order for the host to regain connectivity you need to flush the whole sticky mac address table by running commad: undo mac-address sticky.
Root Cause
This happens because the mac-address of the host is already learned by the device as a sticky mac address.
When ever you need security in LAN and have mobile users(that connect to more than 1 port) use dot1x authentication instead of port-security.
