Publication Date:  2015-07-15 Views:  440 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Networking: IAD --> SoftCo --> PRA --> Carrier's network

Version: SoftCo9500 V100R002C04SPC900

The internal user 58781157 is talking with a mobile phone user 918768168800. At this moment, an external user (18601339250) places a call to 58781157 and hears a normal ringback tone instead of a busy tone. This problem occurs on every internal phone.
Handling Process
Step 1 Obtain logs of the USAM, CCM, CM, RM, PRI, and PRINTTIME modules.

Step 2 Analyze the logs. The alert message carries an announcement to request the SoftCo to play the busy tone for the calling party, as shown in the figure below.

Step 3 Analyze the following calling information.

The SoftCo used the 140 channel to play announcement. According to the system configuration, the 140 announcement is "The number you dial is busy now, please dial later."
[2012-07-16 17:01:57.33][pri.c 8590]SEND_PROMPT_TONE. current state is INCOMINGCALLPROCEEDING, release cause is 145, toneid is 140
[2012-07-16 17:01:57.33][Cm.c 7240][dwEsn=23077] CM_ToneTo, enToneID:EN_TID_CALLED_BUSY_TONE

Step 4 Conclude the failure reason. The peer device played the normal ringback tone instead of the tone specified in the SoftCo messages.

Step 5 Run the config softargu type 308 value 0 command to modify 308 software parameter on the SoftCo.

Root Cause
1.  The SoftCo is faulty.

2.  The telecom carrier does not correctly process the SoftCo messages.
